Hello all. I have been given another computer today and so have been busy getting the OS on and the drivers installed - but one is proving difficult to track down.
It is a chinese PCI-E card with a logo I do not recognise, and the only ID I can find on it is HD-877x-ZH. I suspect it must be an un-badged variety of ATI, but no clues found as to what drivers would suit - can you help please?

AH! I think I have ID'd it properly now - my poor eyesight. It is an ATI Radeon.

I wouldn't trust any graphics card from unknown brands. Sure, they're real NVIDIA or AMD/ATi chips but they're basically using rejected chips and modify it's BIOS settings.

XFX uses that kind of ID. But why 877X? I've never seen XFX release a Radeon HD 8770 because they're OEM.

If the card came with reference cooler, then it basically came from a pre-built PC, so nothing to worry about.

hello Roaster. I think the card is a genuine ATI now - I have seen the logo on other ATI cards - like a white schematic of two electrons rotating around the nucleus of an atom, as was first visualized by Niels Bohr. I would have expected the 'normal' white letters on red background ATI logo to be present, but it is not. My poor eyesight mistook the number 6 for an 8. The card is an XFX Radeon HD 6770 according to HDInfo and accepted the driver for that range - so - all is well in that area. Thank you for your concern :)

Ah..I see, I've noticed. Looks like you're safe. XFX makes good designs for AMD.
