Suddenly Invalid???

So I just walked in the door and open the lid to my laptop running windows 7 home premium, and in the bottom right corner of my screen it has:

"Windows 7
Build 7600
This Copy is not valid/genuine"

I Went to the Microsoft website to validate my copy,It passes. So i restart my computer and it's still there. I'm running a virus scan right now but has anyone heard of this? My software is legal. It's still Activated from the OEM, I've never installed another OS on this computer.

I've actually dealt with that and mine is from Technet. Usually a restart fixed it for me. I'm not sure what's up with your copy though

Check out this page. It seems like people are having similar issues (even though the page is for Vista I'm assuming it works for 7 too)

Edit: You could also run the MGA Tool and see if any issues arise. If they do, click resolve
