Thinking about purchasing a Tablet mainly for work towards reading PDF and Word documents but also for fun and was wondering which one most of you prefer or have, seriously looking at the Asus Eee which has great reviews and their prices are pretty decent. Not interested in the IPad.

Thanks for the info.

My experience is relatively brief, as I've had my tablet for only a few weeks. I have the Galaxy Tab 10.1 by Samsung, and I love it! Surfing the Net, email, listening to music, games, etc., are all greatly entertaining, and reading eBooks, Word documents and PDF files are simple tasks, but the apps I've found do not allow editing. Serious word processing is not a job for such a tablet.

I'm the owner of a blackberry playbook! A superb and underrated device!

The next update will bring android app support as well.

Not sure if the asus supports flash, but that was a selling point for me with the pb as well as being a blackberry owner, internet can be bridged from a mobile, so no aftermarket contract needed.

I've had good experiences with the Samsung Galaxy Tabs.

However, my opinions of tablets in general is quite low. It's a supplementary device and they are expensive. I spend lots of time typing on forums each day and using a tablet is just awful for me with the way that I surf the web. It's good for looking up a quick website, or playing Angry Birds, or reserving a movie from RedBox...but for 90% of my web use the tablet is just a PITA.

Thanks for the info, the ASUS has a docking place for a keyboard when needed and that keyboard has extra usb ports. I do like the Samsung also, most of my toys are Samsung, lol!

I researched and picked up the ASUS 16GB with the keyboard dock and a 16GB microsd card.. zero regrets.
