This is a theme pack and as such does not upgrade your system to windows 8 - but just makes cosmetic changes to windows 7 to make it appear more like the windows 8 UI

This theme pack should be OK, though because it is not an authorised MS product there is no guarantee that it will work with any particular system.

Make sure you have backups of both your system and data before you contemplate install, it is also advised that you create a restore point before actual installation.

It is also strongly advised that you choose the advanced install option and remove the browser toolbar and browser hijacks that come for free with the standard install
