Solved Trojan Alureon.A Detected After Clean Win7 Install

Okay, gotcha, cottonball. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling MBAM. I read somewhere sometimes that helps. I don't have trouble with it unless it's scanning a large amount of data on the external hard drive. (For instance, I had it scan certain individual folders on the hard drive and it did just fine provided the folder wasn't over 10-15 GB.)

Re: Computers, sorry about that. American Marble = family friend's laptop. It's the one whose HDD was wiped and has a clean reinstall. It's the computer I first noticed Alureon on, after a clean install.

NAOKO is my personal laptop which I am currently using to work with the external hard drive and scan it to try and get infections off so that I can restore files to American Marble.

ETA: Was able to get MBAM to scan after reinstalling. It only found one thing, which seems weird. I've attached the log.

My apology for the delay!!

Run MBAM once again, and, this time remove the entry.

Are you having any other malware/virus problems?

Hi, cottonball! Thanks! So far, so good. I'll wait a few days and rescan, just to double-check. Then, I'll mark the thread as solved if all is well.
