Turned off Internet Protected Mode and unable to turn it back on

Hi, I have turned off my internet protected mode on my IE8 browser and I wish to turn it back on. However, I am unable to do so even though I have reset the browser settings to default under tools > internet option > advance > reset > reset all personal settings. I have closed and restart my browser.

I have done in both on the 1) browser and 2) control panel > internet option but to no prevail. Can anyone please advise me? Thanks!

Do you have UAC turned off also? That will keep it from being turned on.

Hello Kelvin,

Do you still have UAC turned on to at least the default level? If not, then IE Protected Mode will not turn on until you do.
