First attempt at burning JPGs onto a DVD using the Windows 7 burner and selecting the "Use with a CD/DVD player". The TV screen displays the cryptic message "data error (PHOTO)" which I can't find anywhere in the literature. Can anybody throw some light on this?

BurnAware

I tried BurnAware but got the same result. The disc plays ok in my computer so it must be a compatibility problem. Trouble is I don't know if it's the Samsung TV or the Sony player and the cryptic message isn't telling.
