Hi all,
I recently built a new rig and she has been running top notch, until today !
I have had two BSOD's occur in one afternoon and all i have done is let AMD Catalyst update itself.
I have tried viewing the dump files but i cant make sense of it, please can you help identify my crashes
sad.gif

Both times oddly i was watching youtube ? i played Skyrim and all was good, did a memtest and no errors so i am lost as what is causing it. I have since rolled back the driver but now i wait for the BSOD ! i am not confident with my rig now till the cause is found.
Thank you in advance for any help offered

Mmmm ???? firstly, thank you so much for your speedy reply, typical for me that in this instance the cause is unknown ! :p
I will monitor it and see if i get anymore after rolling back my AMD driver, although i believe this to be coincidence ?

Appreciate your help Richard.

Don't forget, I have no idea of what the problem is. I feel that it is hardware. The DMP indicated the cause as unknown. With these facts, all that I can do is suggest the various tests.
First, I know that you mentioned the memory test. Is this how you proceeded? See part 2 testing.

Part 2 is very important, it tells you how to proceed. If memtest comes back negative, I will give you my next suggestion. You give me exact details. Does it happen after long use, fan working hard, anything out of the ordinary would help. Good luck

Make a system restore point, now.
I think that you must fully uninstall the old driver (or remnants)
Why does a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) occur during or immediately after installation of the AMD graphics driver?
To do this make sure that you followed these instructions
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx
If things still do not work try with the free driver sweeper. It fully removes driver remnants).
http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html
Updates are usually drivers. I think this has a good chance of success
If this does not work, go back with a system restore to the good times.
If its not broken lets not fix it.
Although, initially it appeared to me to be hardware, I am beginning to think in terms remnants of the prior installation.

Take your time. The BSODS are hard to resolve. I think it is too much of a coincidence, however, that your problem, began with the update.
