Cpu-z doesn't have a problem detecting memory speed... as far as I can tell, it's only Futuremark products that can't see beyond 600MHz.

I don't have any Futuremark software installed at the moment, but I'm with you concerning Cpu-z. Mine shows the 800MHz memory bus and 1600MHz speed just as it's set in the BIOS.

It might make a difference in the benchmark if the program assumes that 600/1200MHz is 100% and doesn't award points after that. I doubt it's set up that way, though. Don't ask me to prove it.

CPUz shows my correct speeds as well.


But in the reports, it just seems to show the MAX Bandwidth speed from the SPD tab.

As far as performance, I do not believe it matters. The true speed of the RAM is being used during the tests.
Its just the way the speed is being shown in the final report.
You would think, it would be able to show the true speeds though.

If memory serves me correctly, and it rarely does these days , I think I recall that an earlier version of 3D Mark (might have been 01, or 03) used only half of your RAM unless you told it otherwise... it could have been another benchmark/torture test... not sure, old brain and all?

Anyone else remember that... or something like it?

Wrong clock speed with 3DMark Vantage 1.10

Hmmm.... anyone else notice that 3DMark Vantage (ver 1.1.0.0) isn't recognizing their overclocked processor? Here's my last two scores....



Notice the first score has the processor at 3.52gig while the second score is at 3.06gig.

In the first score I believe the processor was indeed at 3.5 but it is now at 3.8GHz, yet 3DMV shows 3.06 (default speed)

Anyone else have/notice this issue?

Yes I am serious ... my CPU is overclocked (check specs) but my GPU is running out of the box stock.
