Does anyone know if just the "up arrow" feature can be added using Classic Shell? I don't want to change the shell/registry any more than I have to and that is the only feature I want.

The minimum you can have is the Up button and the Settings button. The settings can't be removed, because otherwise you won't be able to get it back :)

So:
Run the Classic Shell installer. After the license screen uncheck "Classic Start Menu" if you don't want that. After the installation open a new Explorer window and enable the Classic Explorer toolbar. Then open the Settings and turn off any features you don't want.

I guess it's easier to just press alt + UP arrow to have that 'up one level' function. Anyway, remember that in previous versions of Windows, when you clicked the "up" button , Explorer didn't selected that last folder you were in (only 'back' did that), which was really annoying. At least now that problem is solved. Though, in SP1, a little UP button would be nice...

try this

I've been using it for a month.
it works great with explorer! BUT it also is attached to internet explorer and you're unable to go back a single page, it goes back to the first page opened.
you have to enable it in manage add-ons

QuizoApps: QTTabBar
