Update Issue

Code 8000FFFF and 80070005 "Some updates are not installed" are driving me nuts. I've tried every fix and tweak I can find from system restore in both safe and regular mode, to every fix it tool I can find. I'm usually not stumped.
There's got to be a fix. Thanks

Please download SFCFix.exe from here - http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe and save it to your desktop.
double-click on it to run it - then accept the warnings.
When it's complete, it will create a new SFCFix.txt file on the desktop - please attach that to your reply.

The error is still present, despite SFCFix :(

I'll have to get back to the author of the program and see if he has any idea what's happening.

back sometime over the weekend hopefully!

Please also download and save the attached SFCFixScript.txt file, also to your desktop.

Now drag the SFCFixScript file onto the SFCFix.exe file - accept any warnings, and wait for it to complete (could be a minute or three)
it should create a new SFCFix.txt file on the desktop.

Please upload that to your reply.

Don't ask me why, but for some odd reason, on a reboot, it installed!
A whole bunch of updates went in. Now I have a new one.

The original error is still there - which update is it that failed?
I'm still waiting to hear back from the application's developer to see what he has to say.
