Solved USB device connected, odd folders automatically created + error msgs

Yes! I'm super glad it wasn't an infection of some sort, and that it was an easy thing to fix! It did take a few days to figure it out since I just happened to stumble upon my user folder and notice that the folders there weren't right, but I'm glad it's all fixed now! :)

No prob! :) I'm glad it was such a simple fix, and that it wasn't anything that was more troublesome or more worrisome. I hope that the next person will find this useful, if they happen to have or run into similar issues as I did.
