so sometimes, randomly, my mouse cursor stops moving, i can see the mouse lights are still on etc, but the cursor won't move, only a restart solves this, until the next time it happens.
I have windows 7.
you can see all my rig in my profile i guess... including the mouse etc .

any idea what can cause this?
thanks

It's plugged to one of the red usb at the back of my motherboard, i am quite sure it's a 2.0 since i can see some blue 3.0 ones...
I tried a different (still red) usb port as well but it's the same.

I'm having the same issue with mouse freezing. What I noticed is when mouse go freeze, i feel a small electrical shock from mouse wheel to my finger (this happen with only one mouse, and I used 3 different mouses, and all of them get freezed randomly) and immediately after shock mouse get freezed with the sound, 1-2 sec mouse don't move, and then get back ...
Now I trying PC with new simple mouse (Logitech M90) and it's NOT FREEZING for 4 days!!! The only difference between mouses I try is this new mouse DON'T HAVE A DPI CHANGE BUTTON on it... Maybe DPI button on a mouse is a problem????
