USB Ports shutting off mouse and keyboard

Okay, so.. This isn't the first time its happened, but this is the story. So i have a Logitech G105 Keyboard and a decent Microsoft mouse, so this is how it goes... Mouse usually freezes for a second or so and then it comes back to normal but it happens often and when it happens too much it forces my keyboard LED's to flick off and on and the mouse lights flicks as well (the under light) but at the same time they both go unresponsive and i have to restart my computer.

Would love some help! I've tried changing mouses and it worked for about a month then it happened again, so i thought it was the keyboard but of course it happened again. So now i've decided to take some advice and see if its my USB Ports that is causing this trouble.

Now as you have mentioned yourself the USB ports are suspect have you tried updating the drivers and the software for the KB and mouse? I find Microsoft mice not that particularly good to be honest and use mainly wifi ones preferably Blu tooth. Bu t without knowing the model of machine you are usinf we cannot advise the drivers for the USB ports etc.

One thing you can do is run these in safe mode it may be something very simple
