Using dvd as removable storage and data lost on one disk

Hi, I have a really strange problem. I've been using my blank dvd's for removable storage devices and everything's been working well but I had to reboot because of some screen refresh problem or something and after I came back online all the data in that disk seems to be gone and it says, 0 for disk capacity and 0 for bytes used. I really don't know how that happened but I have some very old pictures and things I put on there that must be retrieved somehow. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

have you tried the disc in another computer? or this software for recovery

Yes, none of those work sadly.
