Using MSDN keys for upgrades, possible?

Hi,

I have Windows 7 on my PC. I want to upgrade it to Windows 10. Will I be able to use a MSDN Windows 10 key? Can they be used to upgrade or just be used for fresh installs?

As long as you upgrade by July 29th, you don't need a Windows 10 key to upgrade a Win 7 computer to Win 10.

After July 29th, I'm not sure if you'll be able to upgrade using a MSDN key. I have machines I have upgraded that had MSDN versions of Win 7 and Win 8 and they upgraded without issue during the free period.
