Virtual PC for windows 7? WTF is this??

excuse my language, im pretty damn annoyed...

in Vista, i would just go download virtual PC 2007, install from an ISO, im done, but NOOOOOOOOOO..... not like that with windows 7, oh no...

how the hell do i get a virtual PC working on here? i've tried running virtual PC 2007, it says it's been blocked because of compatibility issues. i've tried running in XP mode, blocked... so i went to the microsoft website and download "Windows XP Mode" and "Windows Virtual PC", this installs just fine, next i get an error saying hardware virtualization isnt enabled, so i restart to enable it inthe bios... now come to find out,...

windows 7 has NO virtual PC software to instasll OTHER OSES rather than XP????? what the hell is this? wtf am i doing wrong? this is so annoying, all im trying to do is run a live boot CD. i've changed t he boot sequence for the CD to be first, i've ran the CD from the "boot menu" (f12), it jus bypasses it. im on a brand new laptop and i JUST finished installing win 7 enterprise from a boot CD.

so can someone explain to me how to simply get virtual PC working like it did in vista? jesus christ... this is unnecessary

You can use Windows Virtual PC in Windows 7 to install other operating systems. Just navigate into the virtual PC application and it opens up a Windows explorer like Window and at the top will be the option to create a new Virtual machine.

I agree they have made it complicated to find.

I cannot use the latest VPC (the one for XP Mode) due to no virtualization ability with my CPU. I just use VPC 2007 SP1

XPM is meant to be used for apps that are not compatible with w7, if all your apps are running fine on w7, there is no need to use XPM. and it is more for home use, not business.
