You weren't any help - maybe this will help someone else - found where I had set limits users could go to - doing so messed with quotas for something else I don't understand. Quotas found in the following:

COMPUTER/Rclik/Prop.s/Quota/Show

original post follows:

I recently changed limits for users space-use allowed - I don't remember where, I've looked & searched for hours. So, this may be what caused the above, I don't know.
Am downloading surt. Looks like 36 hrs or so w/dial-up, if I don't use computer.:o ; so, am submitting this hoping to beat the download x. Given the first sentence I'm hoping its a no-brainer for you - I don't know what I'm doing.

windows update error found:
code c8000710
w. 7 Home Premium (that lets out one of your tutorials I tried)
Intel-r Core-tm-2 Quad CPU Q8300 @2.5 g 2.5G
mem ram 6G
64 os

Dell Studio540

+++++++++
Added 7/27: Downloaded surt (?) - 3 or 4 full? days - and when clik 'open' it 'says' 'Not enuf space' or something to that effect - yet there's >2 gigs free on drive.
Nothing found on how to de-limit space for users or profiles ... except what doesn't apply to W7 Home Premium. ANY help? guesses? Donations?

The SURT is a 500MB download - and can expand in use to over 5GB. This would explain the error you're getting.

Having only 2GB free on your drive is going to cause a lot of problems - not least, it will prevent any defragging from happening, and is likely to cause some fairly major problems resulting in system crashes.

Windows likes to have at least 15% of the drive as free space - much less than that on a small drive, and it will begin having problems.
On large drives, I always try to ensure at least 20GB free space.
Remember that your hibernation file alone can expand (in your case) to over 4GB - in addition to the 4-6GB+ taken by the paging file.

You need to either free some space up, or get a new hard drive
