( Weekly crash ) kernel-power w/ minidump

Hello,

I was wondering if someone would be able to take a look at the attached minidump file, as I've been having some issues with the Windows debugger.

I've been getting this crash about every 7-10 days and it seems to always occur between 2-4 AM. The computer automatically restarts after the crash.

Some applications I use are VMware player 3.0 & VirtualBox, For anti-virus I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

The computer is a Dell Studio XPS 9000 with 12 gb of ram, 2 optical drives ( bluray and dvdrw ) 3 hard drives [ 1 for OS non-RAID ( 750 GB ), 2 in a RAID 0 ( 4 TB total ) ], graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

If it helps any I've made sure all drivers are up to date and have run the Dell diagnostics on the hardware which did not find any problems.

Forgot to mention, the OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Welcome to SF!

First, do you have any more dmps? If so, could you upload them for us?

The only thing I notice from that dmp is that you still have remnants of AVG. If it is still installed, uninstall it from Programs and Features, and then run the removal tool. Otherwise, just run the removal tool.

Thanks for your reply. This is the only dump file that was created unfortunately, even though I've had multiple crashes. I did originally have AVG free installed and the crash occurred more often ( almost daily ). After reading, I found that AVG might be causing the problem and I uninstalled it and the crashing stopped until about a week later it crashed again. Now I am still having a crash about every 7-10 days.


The crash is always the same in the windows eventviewer:

I did by the way run the AVG removal application, thanks for the link
