Weird resolution problem in VirtualBox
It shows up like this:
When it's in fullscreen.
I went to the resolution settings but it dosent let me change it to the correct resolution.
Any help?

Same problem here. Basically I'm running Ubuntu as the host. I'm using a 32" LCD tv as my monitor. Obviously this is widescreen. Seven, however, doesn't pick-up that my monitor is widescreen and displays 2 black bars as seen in the picture above.
The Virtualbox guest additions driver is installed for the video card and that has given me more options for resolution but it hasn't supplied me with any widescreen resolutions

I just fixed this by installing the guest drivers.
