I have been using Hotmail since 1998. Does what I need and I can access it from any device with a web browser. I have changed ISP's at least a half dozen times during that time and have never had to send out a notice of email address change.

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
I use Thunderbird, because Outlook didnt come with Windows 7, and I like the option in Thunderbird that you can embed images right into your email, as I belong to alot of graphic groups, and also teach Paint Shop pro and Animation shop. I can also use my Yahoo email addy on Thunderbird, as well as my Gmail, and have it set so my Gmail goes right into Thunderbird, convenient for me, also like the fact I can choose which return email addy I want to use.

Thunderbird but not to fond of their rapid release issues with the add-ons

Hotmail with that

I also use Lycos but it looks like something fishy is going on with their email - getting untrusted site issues, I wonder if they've been hacked or are bailing.

Outlook 2003

Running Win 7 Ultimate x64, using MS Outlook 2003 which is running great...but...having a problem sending e-mail from a page. I run a database of 6,500 people and to protect their privacy I have used Spambotblocker, available here:

It's a free program which codes the e-mail and all the person sees is "Click here to EMail" in hypertext. It worked GREAT when I was using Windows XP and Outlook Express, but now I cannot get the links to work.

I've read the Outlook preferences and instructions until my eyes are ready to fall out and get nowhere. Can anyone tell me what is causing this?

I used to go with the browser because I have Gmail, but I'd definitely recommend Thunderbird if you're a Firefox user. If you like Microsoft and their provided software go with Windows Live Mail.
If you download Messenger, it comes with the Windows Essentials package, where the Windows Live Mail is included.

Definitely something to consider. :)

I have two web-based emails....a Yahoo one and a Gmail. So you'd recommend Thunderbird for a FF user(which I am)....why is that? :)
