What do you want to see in IE9?

The ability to manage bookmarks. That seems simple enough, right, however with IE8 I'm having a hard time deleting bookmarks to put on a fresh load from my other browsers.

What they should do is shut down the entire IE operation and send Mozilla a white flag and a letter stating, "You win."

IE needs a simplification of the GUI, a comprehensible settings window and an urgent overhaul of its responsiveness, IE7/8 is the slowest of all the current browsers.

+1

K.I.S.S. method :)

In a way, I think the EU has the right idea:

Just pull I.E. out of windows completely and let the buyer and user of the PC decide what browser they want to use.

A tech setting up a new PC could easily provide a browser from his/her own Utilities CD.

I won't get caught up in that "my browser can whip your browser" bull s#$t but suffice it to say my favorite browser AIN'T I.E.
Browser choice is as personal as "Boxers or Briefs,,,,silk or cotton".;)

I have a DOS batch file that will download and install the latest version of Firefox. NO browser required. It works a treat!

y'all have a great day now, y'hear?

talking of memory usage, right now I have a iexplore.exe process using 945 meg ram O_o.

I got 6 IE windows open at the moment each with around 6 tabs open so it could be anyone of them, but one of them is using nearly a gig of ram, crazy. All the other are using around 200-300 meg each which is still a lot.

As a comparison I have a opera window open with 46 tabs, the cache to go back/forward is instant and its using 214 meg ram. So the efficiency per tab is far superior.

Intel controller is in AHCI mode currently using IaSTOR 12.8.0.1016 drivers
What they need to do is setup a proper addons center and give internet users the ability to create addons for there browser if they did this i think M$ grip on the usage of internet browsers would increase in strength.
