Hi, I want to know the real meaning of hijacked domains. I slightly understand, how the attacker hijack the domain address of some sites and the solution is to change the dns server to google dns. But i want to know, how you are affected if a vulnerability shown in this regard. is that meant that the dns server of anyone's service provider have been hacked by those given hijacked domain or in the reverse meaning.

The most common way this is done is on your router as by default your router is set as your DNS so it's simply hijacked so when you go to your bank it actually goes to another site. Hacking a ISP is rare as they are synced all the time with other servers

Hi, Samuria,
Glad that you answer. So, it means the default dns server , as set by the router thro the ISP has been hijacked. Can i find the same thro some test. Because, of all the sites, only two sites were shown as hijacked domain. Here it is confusing me. Please bear my ignorance and please educate me. Does that means that these two domains hijacked the router dns? This is the point that i want clarification.
To further clarify, is that a fact that these domains had changed the dns to their sites for using attack purposes or access purposes by exploiting the server. I know that if server is down, then you get another server to get internet access. But how to find the exact server which is affected? I would be thankful to you if you throw some more light on this crucial subject, as cyber and router attacks are the day challange
