What is the quickest way to save links to web pages

When I want to save a link to a web page, I open a 'word document' and use the 'copy' and 'paste' or Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V method to save it. I save hundreds of links this way. Is there a better way, a more efficient and faster method of doing this?

If I may expand on Sir George's (SG) reply; Do you have the "Word" document open, but minimized in your Task Bar?

If you do, do as SG suggests, "Drag the web address icon to the" minimized icon for the word document.

You may see a black circle with a bar across it, but wait for a second or two and allow the document to open, and then drop it into place where you want it in the document.

Thank you for this. If I use a clipboard manager like 'save me', would I be able to do it even faster, without having to open any folder every time I want to copy a hyperlink? Please see this link.

Or....you could use the bookmarks (Favorites in Internet Explorer) built into the browser?

For example, In chrome I just click the star in the address bar and it saves the link in my bookmarks.

I just tried to drop an icon into my clipboard (Notepad), it opens, but won't copy the link.

Never used a manager, so I don't know about them.

This seems good. I'll try this out. Is it possible to open the Windows Clipboard (the one that comes with 'Word'), without opening a document? If this can be done most of my problems will be solved.

There is, the only way I know of for now involves creating a shortcut:

• Right-click the Windows Desktop.
• Go to New, then Shortcut.
• Type %windir%\system32\clipbrd.exe in the location section.
• Click Next.
• Type a name for the Clipboard.
• Click Finish.
• To test, double-click the shortcut to the Clipboard you just created.
• Place the new shortcut you created where it is easy for you to find it.

I'm not sure if the new shortcut can be pinned to your taskbar. To check, right click the shortcut, and see if there is a command to pin to taskbar.

I had a feeling it might not be found. Hmm...I'm working with a slight disadvantage because I use Libre Office.

This shows how you can pin the clipboard to your taskbar.

There does seem to be some limitations to the "Office Clipboard".
From the beginning of the above link:

The Microsoft Office Clipboard allows you to copy up to 24 multiple text and graphical items from Office documents or other programs and paste them into another Office document.

So once you hit, and got used to the magical number of 24, you would then have to paste them into another document and start over.

Couldn't pin to the taskbar either. None of the clipboard options are working, possibly because What I have is Word Starter and not the full version of Word.
