I have used Windows 95, 98, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 DP, CP and RP as well as the Mac OS in the Apple Store, Android, iOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint, Puppy Linux, and Open Suse. I have probably used more of the linux distros, but I can't remember. All of my linux usage has been through virtual Machines or temporary setups on one of my computers. I am currentyl using Windows Vista and Windows 7, iOS, and Android 4.0.4 ICS.

My first computing was on Fortran 4 on a TDC-12 Computer while I was in college during 1976-1984. I used to carry a large box of punch cards for the college project. During that time I used Casio programmable calculator also.

Then Basic on Tandy TRS-80 (Z-80)
Later on used Basic on lots of Sinclair Spectrum (Z-80A) models.

Did some work on Z-80 assembly programming.

Then upgraded to a PC (8086 with 640 KB RAM and 40MB HDD with RLL and MFM technologies) with MSDOS 2.2, 3.0, 3.3, 4.0 in the later 80s. I still have lots of floppy disks both 5.25 and 3.5 ones but no disk drives. Kept them for sentimental value.

In this period tried to understand the concept of expanded memory paging!!! (now extinct).

In those days my favorite programs were Norton's Commander and Utilities like Unerase, NDD etc., Lotus 123 and Quattro Pro. I tried to get into Dbase 3 and 4 but till now I could not get a hang of the database management systems.

On windows platforms
Windows 2.0 in 1989
Windows 3.1 in 1993
Windows for Workgroups 3.11 on DOS 6.22 and Novel Netware in 1995
Windows 95, 98, NT4 Workstation, Server in 1995-2000
Windows 2000 Workstation and Server and Advanced Server, XP (Skipped ME and Vista altogether.) and 2003 Server during 2000-2011.

In this period collected few hundreds of CDs/DVDs.

XP was the longest used OS (2003-2011) till date.
Windows 7 2011 (Though started late, one of the best windows so far.)
Windows 8 not tried yet.

Presently using Apple iOS on an Ipod and Iphones.

Today, I got the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update from Asus for my tablet.

When I remembered all these OS's I have used till today, it was quite a nostalgic journey of computing in the last 36 years.
