Solved What program is loading an AMD dll file on my intel system?

I have an AMD dll running on my system which has an Intel processor. I spotted this dll in an AppCrashView report.

How can I figure out which program is loading this dll file?:

C:\windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.7601.18837_none_fa3b1e3d17594757\COMCTL32.dll

Since is for a different processor family, seems like this is the first place to look as a cause of crashes in my web browser. AppCrashView for those crashes shows the dll as being loaded.

Are you running 64 bit Windows? I ask because AMD owns the x64 instruction set and licenses its use to intel. So you will see AMDx64 references even if your running Intel. Those references are normal.

No problem, it confuses a lot of people. AMD was first with a 64 bit CPU and turned the tables on Intel.
