Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, just joined actually, and I had a quick question. When I set my resolution to any other res other than the highest possible i get a black outline around my screen due to the resolution not stretching to fit my entire screen. This is fairly recent, as it never used to happen. I'm figuring it might be a driver problem, but I'm not sure. Any help would be great.

Hi SevenUltimate welcome to the forums :)

I see you have a Geforce 220, I have the 210, the model down from you and have exactly the same issue.

Firstly, yes it's a driver issue. I have had to roll back to 258 edition to get it working properly again.

Take a look at my post about it here: http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/139394-make-full-screen-actually-look-full-screen.html maybe the suggestions will work for you, although they didn't for me.

Failing that, I'm willing to upload the 258 edition drivers to my Skydrive if you want? (mods/admins: please let me know if this is against the rules, don't think it is, but you never know)

Hope it helps :)

This is a regular question - anyone on an ati card with this problem >>>

Open the Ati Catalyst 2.0 program
(earlier version access = right click on the blue tv in one of the options)
> Open My digi flat panels (in left menu)
> Open scaling options
> move slider all the way to to 0% 'Overscan' (or the setting which works correctly for your screen/res)

I am having the same problem on my laptop and my desktop. Both are running windows 7 professional x64. My laptop is running intel integrated graphics, and my desktop is running Nvidia graphics. I have my laptop set for full screen, no border, with no luck.
