Considering you said laptop.. you do realise that if you choose the top choice it will be smaller than a laptop as it is called a netbook

The bottom one will have a bigger speed and will probably boost your power in corel and browse the internet..

The top one can still do those.. but consider less performance

Sorry I mis-read

14.1-inch Notebook

Notebooks are quite similar to netbooks in what I think..

Notebooks aren't strong but are better than netbooks.

Still a notebook is good unless you do care about heaviness or performance

Awesome Laptop.
The Asus is generally considered a better quality. My experience with Dell is not good. But then again, the Dell is a 15" but the Asus is easier to lug around. Off hand, I do not see a big difference in performance between the two.

Devenprasad,

The two top quality manufacturers of notebooks are Toshiba and Asus.

Dell does not enjoy a good reputation for quality.

Somewhere recently there was a comparative review. I do remember that Asus and Toshiba were at the top. The exact position of Dell I do not remember. If I run across the review again, I'll post the link.

I saw that comparison too. I would go with Asus and Toshiba any time (although I had very good luck with two Gateway laptops).
The first time I opened my Dell desktop, I got a shock - as fancy as it looks from the outside as primitive it is from the inside. They do not even use bays for the HDDs. They bolt then directly to the box. And the one spare electricity connector they left in the box was so short that I had a hard time getting it to my SSD which I had to Velcro to the optical reader.
