You're right. I use Notepad to edit that and other files. It's convenient to make a dated copy of a file to keep in a backup folder. Every once in a while, our before I do an 'experiment', I transfer backups to a data DVD. When I edited that time I used about:config because I had a list of changes I wanted to make in a specific order. I'm going to look up Notepad++
