Hi guys!
I have a question about nVidia cards and drivers.
I have nVidia geForce GTX 560Ti. It works great but I have noticed that it works different with different drivers.
Foe example:
With the latest driver 372.xxxxxx in AIDA64 GPGPU Benchmark I get results twice as worse then with the driver 314.xxxxxx (from Windows 7 update center)
Also when I use Old driver AIDA64 GPGPU Benchmark "thinks" that I have two video cards.
I checked on-line what scores other people have with the same video card and it looks like the score that I am getting with an older driver is correct. Score with the newer driver is very low.
How is it possible and what should I do? Looks like I have better performance with older driver.
Do I have to stay with 314.xxx ?
In games I have not noticed any difference between those two versions of drivers.
I think drivers are one of those things that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." If an older driver is performing satisfactorily there's really no need to upgrade to the latest and greatest. Here are just a few articles you might find interesting:
Yeah. But it is still really wired.
I just completely uninstalled all drivers and installed 314.xxxx again.
Now it works the same as the new driver on screenshot above (same results).
Looks like it was a glitch.
But still I don't understand why my GTX 560Ti shows much lower results compare to other people's cards.
