David you might try cleaning out the updates rubbish too as well as running CCleaner.
Computer > C: Properties > Disk claen > another option will pop up to clean up system files - updates that have been changed included > OK and let that run and then delete the lot.
It will free up some drive space and also help out with the clutter. See pic of a recent clean up I did
