Why is local disk q needed

:sarc:guys i just installed microsoft office 10 and then i noticed a local disk q in windows explorer after i installed it! and when i open the drive it says:

Access Is Denied

and so i used google and then i found out that it is created by microsoft office 10 to store its files.... so im just asking.. is it safe?

My Laptop is HP Pavilion DV6-7070ex and it got proccessor i7 and ram 8 gb and graphics nvidia geforce gt 630m 2 GB and 750 GB HDD
Not sure what you mean by "Is It Safe". What would be dangerous about it? You don't have to have it but I'm not sure if it can be removed after the install. I do know it is an option during the install if you do a Custom install.

I guess a Google search on how to remove it after the install is in order.
