I have an Asus x53e running Windows 7 Home Premium x64. I recently replaced the HDD with an SSD and decided to start over with a fresh Windows installation. After installing Windows, I got all of the drivers for my laptop model off of the Asus website and installed them. Ever since upgrading to the SSD and reinstalling the OS, my WiFi connection has been dropping for a short time, about 10-15 seconds, every 10 minutes or so. It drops, waits 10-15 seconds, and then reconnects. This is super frustrating and has become very disruptive at work. I also have a desktop computer and an iPad, neither of which have this problem, so it seems to be a problem with the Windows laptop, rather than with my WiFi router. It is worth noting that I never had this problem with the laptop before upgrading to the SSD and reinstalling Windows. If anyone has any suggestions as to what might be causing this and how to fix it, I would really appreciate it.

Hello and welcome downtttempo mate it may seem too obvious but did you a) download the right bit version of the wifi driver and b) I see on that site there are at least four different brands of wifi drivers listed did you get the right one??
Now you can easily check for what branch of wifi adaptor you have by reading through this and use PART B: just click on the Network - see my pic
Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic. In my pic the section (Nuvoton) with VBATT is a dead give away you are in the section for the rail voltages. There are other section titles and one that pops up often is ITE
Now the voltage on the different rails have to be within 5% =+/- of what is required or the machine will not work properly if at all.
Limits +/-
12v = 11.4 – 12.6v
5v = 4.74 – 5.25v
3.3v = 3.135 – 3.465v
The Power good signal voltage at pin 8 on the 24 pin plug (grey cable) should be the same as the 5v rail reading/s
See this for the rail voltage info
Power Supply 101: A Reference Of Specifications - Power Supplies (Section 2.)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in and then click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. See pic for example.
