I have reserved W10 but now I am having second thoughts. In the GW10 icon info list it states that W10 will be automatically downloaded and I can chose when I want to install it. Reading posts on the W10 forum, it says that the update will be delivered via windows update.
I have my W7 windows updates set to DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOAD. I do not want any windows updates installed automatically. I am concerned that my W7 settings will be ignored by the W10 reserve download. Is this a valid concern?
I would like to have W10 but there is no way I can manage 3-4GB download at some random time during the month. I only have a 5GB max. data plan. ISPs charge $15/MB if you go over the plan max. so that would be a massive overcharge for me.
It would not be a concern if my W7 settings are respected. W7 WU allows you to delay the download but not the install, so this W10 statement is not in keeping with that.
