I am thinking of installing W10 on a separate drive to my W7 OS to see if I am happy with it and do not want to risk my W7 which is behaving perfectly and I would like to keep it that way!
I would like to use my copy of Office 2010 on my new W10 drive and on my W7 drive, will this cause any hassles in use or with the registration?

Hi,
Best way to install 10 make sure you remove the 7 hdd or ssd during install
Office well that depends on the version
I had no issues running Office 2007 small business but it's retail disk I have it on all my machines 3 total now but also had it in win-10 on the same machine using 7 and 10tp
10 never saw 7 because the ssd 7 was on was never connected at the same time.
So it does depend on what type of version you have oem one install
Technically the same machine though :/

You would have to install Office to your Windows 10 installation. If you want to leave a copy on your Win7 installation, you will have to have a copy of Office which allows more than one install, or it must have a license that allows it to be installed on more than one PC. Many versions of office now allow it to be installed on multiple PCs, but many do not. You'll have to check your version to see if you can install it to Win 10. If not, you'll have to leave it on your Win 7 installation, or else move it, if your license allows.
Note that if you try to use the Win 7 installed Office from Win 10, you'll likely have problems getting it to start, if it will at all. That's because there won't be any Office entries in the Win 10 registry, and Win 10 won't know how to use it.
