Solved Win7 - How do I "forget" a network

Hi folks,

I've had a quick trawl & couldn't find the answer to this.

I have disabled the 5G network on my router but it keeps coming up in the list of networks in Win 7's Network & Sharing Centre.

How can I tell Win 7 to forget this network (and I don't just mean unticking the 'Connect automatically if this network is in range' box. I mean totally removing the 5G network from the list.

I have a separate issue with WiFi on this laptop which is the subject of another thread.

RE BOTH

If your comps seeing the RENAMED 5ghz router setting as available, right click on strength bars, then its NOT off
your better off keeping your router sending both, 2.4 & 5
(especially if you have 2 VM boxes)

To remove the network
Open network and settings >> manage wireless networks, top left, >> cloick on the profile .. delete is now shown as a choice, remove.
