Hi

In Summary
: My desktop with OS win7 Ultimate is restarting every 10 minutes although the OS is new

================

Details:

few days ago I formatted my pc and while installing win7 the Expanding files was stuck at 0%, and I searched a lil bit and they said I have to restart BIOS by taking out Cmos battery and re-inserting it after few minutes which I did

I also took out the Rams and insert them back again as it said, and finally I found out that the DVD RW had a small problem causing the problem

I solved it and Installed the windows smoothly
==================================

Now, while working and opening sites after about 15 minutes, the screen goes black saying "Power saving mode", and the computer restarts after 1 minute and again it does the same endless times
=================

Things I did:

-Replaced power supply with a new one
- applied memory diagnosis test and it was great
- updated Bios
- applied chkdsk /f
- checked CPU temperature and it is 56 C which is good
- reformatted and installed windows again

they failed to solve the problem
====================================

Note: If I keep the computer ON and don't play with it, it never restarts, but as soon as I start multi-tasking it starts freezing and restarting

I also have no programs right now installed except chrome

any help would be appreciated

Did you install Ultimate from a burned disc?

Or from a USB stick?

What operating system was previously on the disk?

I will try that but before, I need ur opinion

do u think I should replace cmos battery with a new one/? although it is fine and logically it's not a related issue since I had no problem like this before the format

but some forums posts say that giving a message "power saving mode" then restarting means the power isn't enough and battery should be replaced, especially that I havent had this problem before format and taking out the batt. and rams to solve the Extend files issue

I have no idea about the battery. In my experience, they last 4 or 5 years or more. It certainly can't hurt to use a new one, but I'd think it would be a long shot. I'd concentrate elsewhere but maybe replace the battery anyway if you are concerned.
