win7 operating like win2000 ?

I have noticed my win7 interface is looking dumbed down (for lack of a better word) Kind of looks and feels like windows2000. if I update a file in a folder I don't see the update unless I exit out and then reopen the folder.
Maybe I have inadvertently changed my look & feel/display preferences somehow.

Does anyone know why.

Looks like Areos interface was turned on.

Did you look through the link I gave you? It also talks about themes which is another possibility.

How long has it looked this way? You could try doing a System Restore to before this happened, that should fix it.

The easiest way to do a System Restore is to click Start and type system restore. Right click on System Restore and select Run as Administrator. PIck a date before the problem appeared.
