Win7 Professional: Indexing external HD's

Hi,

Is it possible to index more than one external HD (I have 3), to the same notebook (Win7 Professional - 64bits)?

I welcome any help given to me.

If it's an external hard drive, all you need to do is plug it in. No indexing is required. And you can plug in all three drives to the same notebook computer, if there are enough USB ports.

If you don't have enough USB ports, then get a USB hub. Make sure the USB hub has its own power supply -- like this one:

In this way, it will have plenty of power.

A good thing also is make sure that each hard drive has its own power supply. If none of them do, then you may come up short on power for the hard drives. If one or two of them have their own power supply, then you'll probably be fine.

Sorry for my poor English. It wasn't sufficient enough to express my question precisely.
My doubt is about indexing each external HD separately, and not about connecting more than one HD to my laptop at a time, as I have enough USB ports to connect them all.
What I'm afraid of is to mix the indexing of each external HD, and create a mess when trying to find anything stored in them.
Did I make myself clear now?
I appreciate for any help on this matter.

You won't have any problem plugging both drives in. Windows will give each drive its own drive letter, and it won't mix the two in any way, not even with the indexes.
