This is weird. I have 2 monitors & 2 graphic cards. Recently I changed the 2nd monitor to a DVI connector. I have Display Fusion installed & noticed when I sent a window to the other monitor it disappeared! I checked Control Panel/Appearance & Personalize/Screen Resolution & Windows 7 now detects 3 monitors! I checked the so called 3rd monitor & it indicates using a generic driver. Selecting "Detect" fixes the problem until I reboot my PC & it repeats all of this.
Would re-installing the driver fix this?
Open to suggestions.

I think AddRam is right, maybe a re-install of displayfusion would cure it. I'm not sure what function of displayfusion you are using it for, but ultarmon is an alternative.

Display Fusion allows one continuous panoramic photo across both monitors (Windows 8 has this feature) as well as a switch on each window to quickly move windows back & forth between monitors. It's a nice feature.
But, everything worked perfectly before switching connectors from VGA to DVI. I'll try re-installing Display Fusion. Maybe it will reset itself; worth a try.

The non existing 3rd monitor issue is resolved by removing the DVI connector & re-installing the VGA connector. What possible difference it would make from one cable type to another to cause this is beyond me.
Both the latest video driver & Display Fusion software was uninstalled/reinstalled without correcting the problem. So, Display Fusion had nothing to do with the non existing 3rd monitor issue. Only replacing the DVI for the VGA connector worked.
