what antivirus are you using? and since when are you having this problem? you may do a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html?filter to a time before it started.

I tried to do a system restore there was no point old enough

when i tried to do the START | type perfmon /report

Is Windows 7 . . .
- x86 (32-bit)
- the original installed OS on the system? was original windows Vista ULTI
- full retail version?
- OEM = came pre-installed on system
- Full Retail = download windows from official site
- What is the age of system (hardware)? 4yrs
- What is the age of OS installation: 2yrs old
