Windows 10 Update Bully

I am one angry customer....!

I have my PC set to remind me to regularly (manually) check for Windows Updates. I now have hidden several updates linked to Windows 10's bullying tactics. However, one tactic I cannot get rid of is as shown in this screen shot.

Why my blood boils...? When I select the updates I want to install - just three - and hit OK, I get this screen. Touch anything and I fear I will begin installing Windows 10, which I definitely do not want.

Can anyone help me stop this gross intrusion let alone it preventing me from updating.

For Microsoft's benefit... I was about to buy a Surface Pro for my wife for Christmas. I bought her an IPad Air 2 instead. Why? Because you make me mad as hell...!!! :devil:

Thanks, B... I have made my point just in case anyone from Microsoft looks in. I'm sure it does not hurt anyone here.

I have already searched the other posts, including the link you kindly included. Unfortunately none of them solve my problem. All the updates - and a few besides - I have long since removed: 'hidden'.

I presently have two updates I wish to install but can't because the window shown in the screenshot only refers to installing Windows 10 with no means to install those updates I have selected...

Thanks, Guys... I looked in on the links you supplied but nothing there helps.

To clarify: I loaded Windows 10 a bit over a week ago but after a couple of days decided to uninstall it. That went fine. I then deleted all the update files linked to Win 10 - ten in all - which are also shown in the various links posted here in this thread.

The attachment above shows the Update window with the "Get Started" button to install Win 10, but no way to cancel the window so I can install a couple of Windows 7 updates.

In fact, the major hangup is: I cannot use Windows Updates at all until I find a way of getting rid of this notice.

My guess is there is an update not mentioned anywhere so far in this forum, or a registry entry, that keeps bringing this up.

Went there but no help, I'm afraid. I did take the hint to run Disk Clean up, but that did not work either. I have posted in the Microsoft Community. If I get an answer there I will come back and post it here.

Meanwhile, thanks to everybody for helping...
