This happens when I alt tab and alt tab back into HoN/other games or while holding alt to use items and ping etc
HoN/other games start behaving like my alt key is stuck down when I am playing, so I can't use skills and when I try to use the skill hotkeys it attempts to use items like I was holding down ALT. I end up button bashing and continuously alt-tabbing to fix the problem, this almost makes it unplayable. I also go to click the map and instead of panning, it pings and annoys/confuses the team.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad running Windows 7, I called Lenovo support and they were not help at all and couldn't find the solution anywhere.

Note - this problem only occurs when playing HoN, so frustrating.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hiyya upto and welcome mate might sound rather flipping obvious but is your Alt key - actually sticking down? the top surface of the key may look as if it comes back up but the microswitch undernaeth - well I am assuming it is a microswitch of some sort itself maybe faulty. If this is a brand new machine mate I'd be taking it back just to get that checked out - anythings possible eh?

If it were an old machine I'd say get the service manual and flip the key out and clean but....

One way I suppose would be to disable the keypad if possible and plug in a USB device.

It doesn't seem to physically stuck and this only occurs when I'm playing games, particularly full screen gaming.

It's about a year old and it's warranty is long gone, might have to take it apart!

Yeah upto mate like I aid the top button you see in a lot of cases actuates a soft microswitch underneath it might just need a bit of playing with.

Here is a manual that shows you how to dissemble it the KB is near the bottom it should cover almost all models at least it would be very similar - just be careful with some of the screws ate they can be VERY small ad go un-noticed. Plus do not use excessive force if there is any fairly strong resistance it means something is holding it in or down.

Be sure to handle any of the small leads that connect up some of the parts to the machine as they are also quite easy to snap / tear. Having frightened you to death - just take it slowly and you'll be ok. :)
