I went away to work for a few hours and come back and apparently my laptop is broken. My sister uses it as well and I have no idea what she did.. Apparently somebody attempted to restore it? It now comes up with "Setup is starting services" and then a box pops up saying the installation cannot be complete and to restart. This is a continuous loop and I have no idea how to fix it. The laptop will not start in safe mode? If anybody could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know a lot about computers so if you could give me the dumbed down version, it would help. :)

It looks like it reinstalled, or upgraded installed. But your sister is either lying or totally unaware of what she does!! I think she did a "restore to factory settings"(?)

Ask her if she did

Is the installation disc still in the DVD/CD drive by any chance?

I'd run a few Startup Repairs and browse in to see if my files were in place, steps given in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start,
which also includes everything possible if its only having strange issues and wasn't in fact recovered or reinstalled.

If no luck then you can either try running Acer Support: Restoring a system to factory load to see if it will run through, or get the vastly superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 - everything needed to get and keep a perfect install is in the blue link.
