aight, so i got new ram, kingston hyper 1333 (2x2) 4g, and still the same shit. Dude, i dont know anymore. Like seriously, installation shouldnt be this hard.

Do you have the latest BIOS version update?

Clear the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Set SATA controller to AHCI first, then IDE if necessary.

Yea, so i tried with my wifes netbook to download the latest bios software, i put it on a flash drive, but i could not figure out how to upload it into the computer's bios. Also, yea, i looked at the part numbers on the ram, and it still isn't on the prefered list for Gigabyte Mobos. Be that as it may, RAM shouldn't be this intricate and specific. Its usually ubiquitous and painless. Today i already ordered new "part specific" compatable RAM, i am gonna recheck tonight.

Yea, I think i figured it would just automatically figure itself out. I dunno. Okay, will try that tonight. Thanks again for all the support you'all have been giving me. I truely appreciate it and hopefully one way or another it works.

Call Kingston Tech support which is the best in the business. They will help you determine with certainty whether that RAM will work on that system, or replace it for you.

It is safest to install BIOS update from Windows, however if you must flash from stick follow the Read Me exactly, even consulting mobo tech support if necessary to answer any questions or walk you through. THis is not be be trifled with.

Alright, so this weekend, after a short stroll in the Henry Cowell State Park, I came home and i figured out what was going on with the computer and W7. I kept stating maybe i should change the IDE ribbon, but i figured those are pretty rock solid. Well that was the problem all along, it was a bad ribbon. I replaced the ribbon with the new fancy tubular ones and the loading went like a charm. YAAAY! I hope this fixes someone elses hiccup.

Thanks for reporting back how you fixed it.

We need to add swapping cables back to the troubleshooting steps as it seems to have slipped away as one of the leading steps given. I guess it isn't exactly intuitive that the cable would go bad right at the time of Win7 install.
