Solved Windows 7 ISO on CD not a DVD anyone help please

My Church, and other charities I help out at need windows 7 on a CD they all currently have been given many XP Dell machines all using XP they want to use Windows 7 any version. Each old macine has a CD burner not a DVD burner, Is there a way to burn windows 7 onto a CD. The burn to boot-able USB option looks a little complicated for them and I do not know how to do that properly myself..Help please

Hi artinusa,

Windows 7 any version would range from a 2-3 GB and a CD consist of 700 mb disc space only. So technically it is impossible to do the same until you find a way to split the file in parts.

And even if you do the same then also it would take 3-4 CDs for one windows install which won't be worthwhile.

Best would be to use couple of bootable pen drives and then you use them to install the Windows on any number of system.

Another possibility is to pick up an external DVD drive and take it with you as needed. Flash drive is better (and faster) though.

Are you sure these computers can handle Windows 7? Best to run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor first.
