Windows 7 Lags when I play ANY game.

I spoke too soon. The reason I didn't notice it yesterday is it takes longer for the problem to happen now Like I played for 30 or so minutes and the lag started.

Does your motherboard have an onboard GPU, or do you have another GPU you could install into the machine? this would help determine if the graphics card was to blame.

Go All programs > Accessories > CMD(right-click) > run as administrator...

Also while playing your game,let this run in the background & keep an eye on your GPU temp.

In eventviewer is there no system errors to post?

How would I find this out? I have no knowledge of anything to do with hardware so if you could point me in the right direction? And it's my moms pc and i dont think she'd be happy if I took her computer apart..

looking at the hardware specs... I am surprised any games run at all on it.

What do you mean any games... This machine is obvious capable of playing 1000's...

If you don't know what your doing around the hardware rather not fool around there.. Did you do the stress test & stuff..

Judging from pictures, you have aero on. Your gfx card is not good enough to handle gaming and aero, turn it off. anything below a 9800 is crap for gaming with aero on. I have suggested it to a few friends and they have got nice frame increases.

Changing it to basic didnt help, so aero wasnt the problem..

if you are playing wow and you are laging try this if you have a program called OSD gammer usely comes with your graphics card programes uninstall it and should fix the problem

It may be a bit drastic, but have you considered trying a system wipe and a fresh install?

Mom would tear me apart mortal kombat style. I know I could back it all up, but she would not be down for thatm I guess ill just have to wait till I get my new computer in june...
