Windows 7 returns to login screen after selecting user.

Hello,

Windows did an update the other day automatically (I know, I should turn them off) and when I turned the computer back on it won't take me past login - won't even let me input a password, it just brings me back to the login screen.

Windows Error - YouTube theres a recording of the issue.

Things I've tried;
- Booting in Safe Mode
- Windows repair
- Freeing up space through the command line through the system repair menu. (SSD was near full)
- Unplugging peripherals

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the club as of yet no solution as all my restore points are corrupt? Funny Windows restore has never once worked on the many pc,s I have tried it. It's useless to say the least!

Apprently it's a botched patch and KB3097877 must be uninstalled through command line.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3097877 Was the solution for me just make sure you have the right drive letter mine was on d: and where is tells you to type in that whole line make sure you use the right processes or designation such as x86 or amd64
