Windows 7 XP mode

Hi,
I had a major hard drive crash and it destroyed the 7 operating system. A new SSD 1 TB hard drive was fitted and windows 7 re-installed. My problem is I have files in the old XP mode that I would like to recover. I have managed to recover most of the old disc. This was done by a computer repairer. In this recovered files there is my old XP mode vsv Files. Could anybody tell me if I can get them to work on my new installed windows 7 system. This came about because for some reason when I was backing up my information to the USB it zipped to the XP mode C: directory ok. Unfortunately when I backed up to the USB it copied over the folder with no data. I only found this out when I tried to restore a backup of the information and found the folders were empty. This is why I need to try and get the old XP mode VSV working with the newly installed windows 7 system. Any help would be appreciated.
