When opening Windows Explorer and then opening Music, I'm not seeing album artwork as I do when I open Windows Media player. Album artwork works fine in WMP 12 but not in the Explorer music library. All I see are the generic music notes. This has to be an easy fix, correct?

OK, I solved it. Here's what I used. On a lark I tried cleaning WMP cache data using %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player. Emptied the folder and it worked.

Thumbnails missing in explorer

I know it's an old thread but ...

Was this a fix for m4a music files? Ok it's Windows 10 my machine and not 7 but I have loads of m4a iTunes files that refuse to display the thumbnail/album art in explorer. Yet in Windows media player all art is present and correct. It's driving me nuts!!!
